Best Friends – Pets and their People Book Project.

Wow!! We can’t believe it is August already.

Time really flies when you’re having fun and at PAWtraits – Pet and People Photography, we have definitely been doing that!

We have an exciting photographic project underway incorporating the whole family. Yes, we have been photography children and family portraits for many years, but when we say the WHOLE FAMILY –  We mean including any furry, feathered or even scaly family members.

They say never work with children or animals,  we do both and we love it!

We have created a fun project for ourselves @ Lifeworks photography to photograph all kinds of “Best Friends,” with their favourite humans, either at the park, in your home, at our studio…indoor or outdoor, whatever will suit your pets/s best!

Our goal is to photograph 100+ much loved Pets and produce a beautiful coffee table book that will not only have gorgeous images but will also be an entertaining read, filled with interesting, comical and fun stories about your Pets.

If you haven’t already heard about it here is a quick overview before we share some of our fun, “Best Friend” images with you all.

To be involved there is a $75 participation fee (instead of our usual session fee), this we are donating to Guide Dogs Victoria and New Beginnings Animal rescue, we love that some fantastic charities benefit!

This fee includes your portrait session and a guaranteed page inclusion in the hard covered book.

We are hoping for the involvement of over 100 families, this means we will be able to donate well over $7000. The more people involved in this project, the greater the donation.

So far we have photographed over 70 families for the book and are just loving it.

Each individual is different, it doesn’t matter whether human or of the pet kind. The more pets we photograph, the more we see how similar Pets are to humans in personalities and behaviours. We love capturing the personality that is truly them.

We are still looking for more families to get involved in this awesome book.
